On June 16, 2020, a flatbed truck with its boom in the upright position caught and tore down aerial cables attached to a utility pole in Endicott, New York. The damage required immediate repair including the replacement of multiples spans of cable and a power supply. The driver's vehicle with its boom raised was determined to be the sole contributing factor to the damage and the insurance provider was notified.
